Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using convert.tuxxin.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

convert.tuxxin.com provides a free, browser-based image format conversion tool. You upload image files, select a target format, and receive a ZIP archive containing the converted images. The Service is provided as-is, free of charge, with no registration required.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Service to convert images that you own or have the legal right to convert. You agree not to:

  • Upload files containing illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), malware, or content that violates applicable laws.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits through automated tools, bots, or scripts.
  • Use the Service in any way that disrupts, damages, or impairs its operation.
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others by converting copyrighted material without authorisation.

4. File Limits

  • Maximum file size: 25 MB per image.
  • Maximum files per batch: 20 files.
  • Token system: Each IP address is allocated 50 tokens. Standard conversions cost 1 token per file; conversions with the Optimize Images option cost 2 tokens per file. Tokens refill continuously at approximately 3 per minute and are never fully reset — unused tokens carry over.

These limits may change at any time without notice.

5. Supported Formats

The Service supports conversion between common image and document formats including JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG, HEIC, ICO, PDF, EPS, and PSD. Output formats include WebP, JPG, PNG, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, PDF, and ICO. Specific format support may change over time. We make no guarantee that every format combination will produce a perfect result. Multi-page PDFs and EPS files are converted using the first page only. PSD files have all layers flattened before conversion. ICO output is resized to a maximum of 256×256 pixels.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Tuxxin does not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • Conversion output will be pixel-perfect or meet specific quality requirements.
  • Files stored temporarily on our servers are immune to loss or corruption.

You are solely responsible for keeping backups of your original files.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tuxxin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of data.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, and underlying code are owned by Tuxxin. You retain all rights to the images you upload. We claim no ownership over your files or their converted output.

9. Analytics, Advertising & Third-Party Services

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, general geographic region, browser type) to help us improve the Service. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and browsing data to serve personalised ads based on your interests. By using the Service you consent to the display of these ads. You can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. See Google's Advertising Policy for full details.

We also use Cloudflare for DNS, CDN, and security services. Cloudflare may process request metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of delivering and protecting the Service. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when changes were last made.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Florida.
